Concrete & Terracotta Tile Restoration Process
 |
Cleaning Procedure
- Apply Surface Treatment (Sterilizing Solution) to entire roof using atomizer gun, ensuring tile noses and joints are completely coated.
- High-pressure water blast concrete or terracotta tile roof at a minimum of 4000 PSI to remove excess dirt, grime, moss, lichen and other contaminates.
- Fungal and Algal spoilage must be completely destroyed before re-coating to prevent growth.
|
 |
Repair Procedure
- Replacement of cracked and broken tiles
- Repair of ridge caps which are then re-bedded if required.
- All ridge capping is then fully re-pointed using flexible pointing. Flexipoint extra strength adhesive will protect your investment as your caps flex in harmony with normal roof movement.
|
 |
Coating System
- Once the roof has been prepared appropriately, the roof will then be primed with one coat of Roof Sealer to ensure maximum adhesion to seal the roof.
Subsequent Coatings
- Roof Membrane Brushed onto all Ridge Capping followed by two coatings of acrylic membrane which is applied to the entire roof. We advise against coating Terracotta roofs with normal roof paint and prefer to finish them with ‘Terra Glaze’. TerraGlaze is a clear protective coating containing ultra violet light protectives and silicons developed specially for unglazed terracotta tiles.
*Our Roof Coatings are available in a variety of colours and is applied with a 7 year written warranty on Materials and Workmanship. See our Colour Chart
